![]() There are also other things you can do to your computer to improve your bandwidth like disable OneDrive from auto starting when your computer does. When it’s done and I come back, all the lag is gone. When I have high packet loss, and there are no downloads in process, I initiate maintenance processes from the control panel which completes all background tasks with priority. I suspect there are also other background tasks that cause this as well that I haven’t been able to identify specifically, but I can always tell when they happen because my hardware makes the same sounds as it does when it downloads something large or conducts maintenance. You have to go to different places on your computer to check to see if there are updates in process for them. ![]() ![]() This can happen with OS updates, or app/bloatware updates. Best thing to do is to just stop playing until it is done downloading and installing. They start without warning and you can’t disable them. If you’re playing on a laptop (especially one that uses Windows) and no one else is in the house is doing something that requires high bandwidth amounts like streaming (If they are, that’s your problem), there is a very high probability that your laptop is downloading software updates in the background. For packet loss that high, I can almost guarantee it’s a bandwidth problem.
